Volunteer

Make a difference in your community by giving your time, skills, and compassion to help those in need.

Why volunteer?

Volunteering is one of the most meaningful ways to give back to your community. It’s more than lending a helping hand, it’s about making real connections, sharing compassion, and becoming part of something bigger!

Volunteer opportunties

The Gateway of Hope is always looking for passionate, service-driven individuals to join our volunteer team. Volunteers are the heart of what we do, and we simply couldn’t operate without their dedication and generosity.

We have ongoing volunteer opportunities in several areas, including:

  • Our Community Meal Centre
  • Our Emergency Shelter
  • Our Reception Office

We also welcome volunteers for special events or to assist with one-time projects at Gateway of Hope.

To apply to volunteer with us, head to our Better Impact application portal.
If you have any questions about volunteering, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at rachel.martin2@salvationarmy.ca.
